Interestingly, the A22CR card + Alcor combibation doesn't "flap" under

I have the same problem, using pcscd 1.8.14-1ubuntu1.16.04.1 on an IBM
Thinkpad P50, which has the same card reader.
However, interestingly, it only happens when I use a Feitian/Entersafe
A22CR card. I tried two of them with the same result, so it's not a
flaky card either.

to Ubuntu. Often, they are "change resistant" -- looking for any reason

Booted up a Ubuntu 14.04 LTS box & followed test procedure.
Same result - steps followed fine until I once 256 char password was
entered, I was unable to `sudo whoami` (password was not accepted)

Booted latest daily (03-Apr-2020) 'live' qa-test and on
dell [optiplex] 755 (c2d-e6850, 5gb, amd/ati radeon rv516/x1300/x1550)
and whilst I like the 'smooth' bootup messages, it ends up booting to a
black screen without wallpaper (wallpapers was visible in background
during try/boot, and c
Changing wallpapers and on occasion the wallpaper would show correctly,
change it again sometimes it could get two change twice in a row without
glitches, then back to jarry-blocky mess for part of image on next
change (and usually 3-5 after that).

I have wallpaper visible this time, but tiny glitches visible at the top
in what could be top-panel or wallpaper. As mostly dark it looks like
glitch is with top-panel, but if I make this firefox window full screen

you have windows fullscreen (eg. if firefox is your open window and
maximized so it covers your wallpaper, do you see the artifacts?) or are

I did another test, capturing the exact event window. Attachment
journalctl_limited_log.exe, 20:54:04 is the timestamp when I clicked
Apply. I believe 20:54:25 is the timestamp the monitors woke from
sleep.

I am creating a new computer platforms. It provides two video sources:
an Intel i915 DisplayPort and an AST2500 VGA. The i915 also provides
HDMI, but it is disconnected/disabled.

means the file doesn't end up getting listed as owned by adduser.

I can confirm that Ubuntu 20.04 suffers from the same issue. I'm still
unable to link a Google Account due to being in Google's Advanced
Protection Program, which requires a Security Key to authenticate. I'm
able to authenticate in everything but Gnome's Online Accounts area.

Also working for me.
Also of note, configuring the bridge via DHCP worked prior to the patch,
regardless of assigning a dynamic or static IP via the DHCP server.
