We don't update the release pocket's Packages file post-release. As
such, this bug will only get fixed if libterm-readkey-perl is uploaded
to -updates or -security, which seems unlikely to be necessary.
That said, rest assured that it's supported regardless of the state of
the Packages file.

Console logging this early in the boot should be trivial via /dev/kmsg,
if nothing else? Maybe that's mildly abusive of the interface, but any
attempt to hint at people why their boot is failing to be useful sure
beats just sitting there.

Also, why the heck does this re-exec business take so long? It took
well over a minute from 'telinit u' until 'initctl version' worked again
on the five machines I just upgraded. There's no way it has so much to
do here that it should take that long.
