the debian version 1:4.15.3-3 as part of LP issue

Verified ubuntu-settings=24.04.4 on Ubuntu Desktop 24.04 (Test Case 1) and

I had to upgrade a system from 22.04 to 24.04. So far, so good. Only
after the reboot I realized I was unable to start the system. Debugging
it was very cumbersome because it was over a slow link including
character duplication issues when typing.

This part looks incorrect. Running that command returns an empty string, when
