Actually I see the issue with both.
The journalctl extract is from an attempt with the current image (with
Ubiquity).
Yesterday I installed via yesterday's pending image. Same problem. Not

being run by netplan apply, failing to talk to dbus, and restarting
systemd_networkd[2] at that point in time when systemd_network may actually be
