audio when gaming, or watching videos on youtube in chrome, and no audio
at all when using VLC to play music files or watching youtube in
Firefox.

BTW pacmd list works fine if I run as my user. I think maybe submitting
the bug as root caused that command to fail.

The issue appears to be that the Nvidia kernel module is failing to
