the corresponding project, let's update it's early in the cycle now and
we can deal with fallouts if needed

Hello Brian, Jerry!
I have uploaded a new upload of libmbim to the Unapproved queue. Actually a
postrm/postinst is not quite the way to go as there are better ways such a task
can be realized - so I added a libmbim-proxy.links file to make sure we also
create a symlink for the old expected path
yes that looks to be the one.. I've pushed the fix for hirsute here:
https://launchpad.net/~canonical-x/+archive/ubuntu/x-staging
please test, and I'll backport it to focal too

This happened again to me today. I was in a MSTeams chat session

>From what I can piece together from the debian/changelog it seems that
the version is hard-coded because it is only ever updated when the
libpam0g.symbols file is updated which is why services would need to be
restarted. Subsequently, I'm dropping that part of the patch.

A couple of points about putting it into Impish:
- What mechanism can we use to determine if it should show?
- Since the banner refers to a beta feature, it will be replaced at some point
with a new banner, is it worth bringing that into Impish or waiting for the
more complete feature.

Also per #2 above, if we were to drop the `ua status` call from
utils.py:get_ua_status() that would also mitigate the perceived "time

Ultimately if we decide to go with #2 here's a patch that I think would

miniamlly as in the patch above, I think we probably need a pre-flight
check of os.path.exists( UA_STATUS_JSON) so we don't emit those Errno
