OK I can confirm:
1. The crash has nothing to do with this error message.

a Fujitsu D3644-B mobo with Intel C246 chipset and Realtek ALC671 audiochip. No

Okay, I think I see an issue that I'm investigating right now, this
might be a verification-failed actually. We might need to cherry-pick
something more than just the selected patchset.
I have observed that if you set ActivationPolicy to a mode that doesn't

I'd like to emphasize, that this bug results in the disability to
shutdown and therefore enforces a hardware shutdown in certain
situation.
I reported it a little while ago, but it's present for several years.

I do see in the apt-key manpage that apt-key is deprecated as of Focal
and will be removed after Debian 11 / Ubuntu J/22.04. In the meantime,
the `cp some-repo-key.gpg /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d` method has been

Here's a PPA build with the mesa fix Alex mentioned backported:

If you can follow the directions to add that PPA and upgrade to that
mesa package you can see if that indeed fixes it.

Should this be higher priority?

I upgraded to 20.10 from the command line almost as soon as it came out
(like 7-8 months ago), and recently Software Updater has been asking me
to "upgrade" to 20.04, see this screen shot

I even clicked yes to upgrade and it kinda just didn't
I'm sorry, I'm stupid. That says 21, not 20.

Looks like this was reported during my upgrade to Focal. I had to fix
the config file during the upgrade. Probably not a bug.
