This is really just a problem with Ubuntu 20.04 and 20.10 (and maybe
older/newer releases). The same tests are passing fine on latest Debian
testing as well as Fedora. Debian testing and Fedora use a crypto policy
that raises security level to 2 and disallows TLS 1.0 and 1.1. Python's

PS: Ultimately it is your call how you want to handle the issue. You can
either treat it as a bug in Ubuntu's downstream patch or close the issue
as WONTFIX. In the latter case I'll add some hacks to our test suite and
update our documentation that some legacy TLS features are not working

Same here as well. I think I would like to know more about what kind of
changes this will require. Since I think the only freeze this could
potentially break is the User Interface Freeze [1], which is on the 18th
of March.

OpenSSL causes TLS1_AD_INTERNAL_ERROR internal error in OpenSSL's state

Thanks Christian, I think we would for now mark this up as known issue
in lxc. There is a bit of a mystery on our side as it seems right now as

Seems it did not help too much.
I installed PPA version from comment 8, and ended up rebooting about an
hour ago. Since then 3 core dumps.
Two of those were preceded with failed assertion quoted below:

I'm not in a hurry. This was intended more for 21.10, not 21.04. We are
on 3.36.1 right now which is the latest stable release. But
unfortunately the diff from that to master is huge, so I don't think
it's something we should force into hirsute.
