Further to comment #4, this bug report should also be extended to cover
Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Xubuntu etc. which also won't include gnome-control-
center in a default installation.

Slightly different machine, running 20.04 LTS, but not too different I
guess. Uses the same BT-400 dongle as the other machine, the Hama dongle
seems to create additional problems even if it should use the same chip.

Pressing the headset button for muting the microphone does nothing (confirmed
by xev).
The volume control buttons from the headset work fine.
Muting the mic from the settings panel or using the keyboard shortcut work fine.
