The thing is when I hit ENTER and inserting the password, the password
prompt never end. So I have to hit Ctrl+C to quit the program, and

I have two different monitors hooked up. One has a 60 Hz refresh rate, the
other one has a 144 Hz
one. I did make sure to select the correct resolution and refresh rate for
booth.
The issue is that any objects on the desktop environment such as windows

I don't have that computer handy, but I have another one I use currently
which is affected by the same issue. This computer is running Ubuntu
MATE 19.04, network-manager-gnome version 1.8.20-1ubuntu1.
Changing the log level to debug I see the following entries from

I have to concur that it must this change is really a detriment to
people that still use Ubuntu on physical servers - i.e. running
OpenStack hosts. Fixing one problem by creating another problem is
really poor problem management.

It sounds like you're reporting two problems:
* Low resolution graphics by default (using the nouveau driver I guess)
* Installing the Nvidia driver results in no login screen, unless you
disable Wayland.
