Hello.
The problem is probably the files with the settings of packages in the home
directory.
You have to uninstall the package with settings, look for files in this package
in the home directory (partially hidden) and remove them or move them for
security.

it is the post-installation script that always returns 1, after throwing
errors about unsafe symlinks encountered in /var/log/journal/. but there
are no symlinks at all. Seems it is the systemd-tmpfiles --create call
that throws this errors.

But what is strange is that even the laptops start window or the screen
shown when removing the boot hard disk from the laptop and starting the
laptop without boot hard disk shows an orange background. Thus this
might be a very strange hardware failure of the laptops graphics card.
