I am affected by this bug, too. Using an nVidia GTX 660 with legacy
nvidia-340 (both mainline as well as graphics-driver ppa) my system is

Yes it was fixed with new driver from Canon. I upgraded to 18.04 and
one cups driver started printing black pages again. I just installed
the new driver from Canon on 18.04 with the all the updates installed
and it not printing black pages on PDF pages now. Not sure if the cups
update or the Can

I tested 2 times from proposed in the local tester and working as expected now.
Unfortunately the systemd upload itself failed at some of the flaky
(boot and smoke) tests. But it seemed more like the VM it ran in would
be dead.

I had the same problem after the update from 16.04 to 18.04. I was able
to solve this with RESUME = none and sudo update-initramfs -u.
