Hello Christopher, thanks for your replying. Actually I am using it
after failing with ubuntu 17.10. I have to use non-default kernel
parameters, or my laptop will not boot at not. the screen will freeze
with the "PCIe bus error" message. With these parameters, the laptop may
be successful to boot.
This is a very annoying bug. Last morning unattended-upgrade failed on
a machine, so I set APT::Periodic::Verbose to "3" and this morning I got
a very verbose email showing that it succeeded.

Totem uses GStreamer for playing everything, always.
If 'gstreamer1.0-libav' is installed then GStreamer uses libav*
(ffmpeg). Thus in your case Totem is using ffmpeg, but that is not the
default for a fresh Ubuntu installation as gstreamer1.0-libav is not
installed by default.

On HP Elitebook Folio 1040 G3, the WiFi-connection is going constantly
up and down, ever since I migrated from 17.10. System is constantly
pushing notifications about disconnects, and then it reconnects.

The situation is even worse on my 13 inch laptop, with resolution
1920x1080. It seems that now gnome doesn't support fraction factor
scale, so I didn't change anything except scaled font.Everthing looks
fine except these three buttons, they look extremely small and hard to

The Bionic 4.15.0-12 kernel is based off of upstream 4.15.7. Can you
test that kernel as well? That will tell us if the fix in Bionic is an
Ubuntu SAUCE patch or a 4.15 stable update.
