As far as I understand big hard-drives are not automatically mounted - but
should be present as partitions to mount via nautilus. E.g. I would not expect
4TiB drives to automount.

I also have this problem and it is stupid to have watchdog started
manually using systemd after each (re)boot to work.
I have removed all blacklist-entries for iTCO_wdt and also rebuild

When calling libtiff5 through libfreeimage3 on a fresh (~month old)
install of xenial.
No tiff tags are recognized from the defined list in tiff.h (installed
with libtiff5-dev) from the EXIF section. Each call to load a tiff
results in the following non fatal errors being re

I believe the problem is that nothing ensures that the desktop
components which select and install software have access to a GUI
debconf frontend.
I think the proper solution is for each of the frontends to aptdaemon to
depend/recommend a suitable debconf frontend component (libgtk2-perl,
