26 on Xenial for another zfs-linux bug[1] using version
"0.6.5.6-0ubuntu13", which interfere with my debdiff.
"pull-lp-source" and "rmadison" didn't shown the existence of

I'm not sure what you mean by "retained" - if you mean retained between
commands or retained between reboots. This kind of sounds like bug
1615864 right now.

I agree this is not technically accurate.
However when I fixed the same bug in Xmir a while back I was told by a
Xorg expert that we intend to keep the display resolution at 96x96 DPI
for backward compatibility.

Actually this bug occurs with all toolkits, not just Xmir.
Unity8 chooses an incorrect window size.
This also does not require design input as the apps themselves are
providing sane default dimensions and Unity8 is just ignoring them. It
works in other Mir shells though.

When I say "sane" default dimensions I mean Unity8 is ignoring the
initial window size specified by apps and always resizing them to
something incorrect on launch.

This seems closely related to bug 1543467 too. Possibly a duplicate as
in both cases the problem is Unity8 failing to honor the dimensions
specified by the app.
