When testing I think the fix is that the trigger doesn't happen
immediately after launcher width is exceeded with left edge gesture but
the trigger point is further right. Which already improves the situation
and reduces false positives.

of search domains for VPN resolutions.
I have an updated Ubuntu 16.04 and the scenario described here works for me.
Network Manager uses dnsmasq for DNS resolution so the /etc/resolv.conf name
server is always 127
Better yet, have dhclient retry that bind call itself, at least for a
short while, before throwing an error.
