Aha! I've found the issue.
/etc/network/if-up.d/ntpdate is called when each network interface comes

ntp.service would normally be automatically started by systemd.

@pitti, This is probably not useful, since I just ran aptitude as soon
as the upgrade to 16 completed with errors, and had it fix the broken
packages (with no problems). So systemd seems to be installed fine for
me too, now. Just in case there is some clue, though, here is the

I do agree about the portrait mode for all the Scopes. It's very
unconfortable to switch between portrait and landscape manually when
switching between an app that accepts portrait mode and a scope that
doesn't.

I've tested 1.8.16-0ubuntu1.1 in xenial-proposed on my xenial install
where sudo was segfaulting when a user authenticated via sssd. I can
confirm this fixes the issue I was having. User's commands now execute
as expected instead of a segfault.

When trying to connect to a new WPA-PSK encrypted network, I click in the

I have the same issue, ESCPR doesn't support any of the CISS Epson
printers like L200 or 800. My 800 worked fine under 14.04 with
downloaded driver and utility. The later would allow check of ink status
and do nozzle cleaning. Due to missing lsb-core both are impossible to
be installed under 16.04.
