On the affected machine EVERY TIME I accept a system update, the
keyboard layout is broken. I can fix it by uninstalling ibus and
rebooting, but on the next system
I see what you mean. The "main/empty" tab is not actually empty, it’s a
new tab view. But I agree that in such a case, keeping it open makes
little sense. Let’s see if we can add a check to remove a new tab when
opening a URL from the outside.

Right. I confirmed the bug. For some reason the selectedIndex of
head.sections is not updated. The binding seems broken.
I did test with the new header that we have in staging:

After some investigation, this is due to lightdm hard coding an option
passed to unity-system-compositor to enable the hardware cursor. Since
Unity 8 now provides its own cursor, this option is no longer ne

44 mb have to send this directory to you to this problem from occurring
there.
