This seems to be a case for the DeviceConfiguration. While I agree that
what Kevin describes is the expected thing on a pocket desktop, what the
current implementation does is the expected thing on a regular PC. You
want to see the Power menu when pressing the power menu there.
Casing the decision
Do you mean that you are able to observe this in a QML app with a plain
com.canonical.Oxide.WebView ?

I agree with Kevin here. The outcome of the sequence in bug description
is quite unpredictable from the user point of view. In the step 6 I
could imagine user for example answering a phone call and keeping the
phone in portrait orientation for a while. And then finally when
switching to browser on

additional comments for Sosh and Orange which are also fixed in OTA7. As

See attached screenshot, tapping twice on the password entry shows the
text overlay, but it's in hardware orientation, not the real one.
It's been fixed for dialogs, but we must've missed popovers somehow.
