After upgrading to Ubuntu 22.04.3 the solution is working and the problem is
not visible anymore.
Explicit update of the fix is not valid on the older version (22.04.1).

The problem is still visible after installing the -proposed package:

First, reproduced the behaviour of the problem as described and encountered the
segmentation fault situation as described.
Wrote out the coredump with coredumpctl dump and saw from the call stack the
