Can you please tell if its technically fixable ? If so I would like to
work on it, given I can get some help from someone. Also can you please
point me in the right direction on who I should be talking to
Yep, I had figured that. I believe that is something for Ubuntu to fix.
As right now its either use 4K display or a 768p for Ubuntu to look good
:)

Widgets only scale if the scale-factor is set to 2 -- which makes
everything look extremely big on a 1080p display. So I set my scale
factor to 1.5, that results in unity and text to scale well but all GTK
widgets stay small.
