For the record, this is still working fine for me on mako and the emulator. Barry confirmed that calling timedatectl works, but he called it as root. So for someone who can reproduce this: Please try calling timedatectl as user phablet (in phablet-shell) and see whether that works. If that's workin

just to justify the previous comment a bit more, I've seen that issue on older images, the dbus call was done by setting the helper on the systemd side was getting it and reading the new tz file on disk but failing to apply the change for some reason, the ctl command worked meanwhile ... -- You r
