In 16.04, per the above bug it is set with bash 4.3
# Working in 16.04
$ dpkg -l bash | cat
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Inst/Conf-files/Unpacked/hal
It looks like this is fixed on 16.04 but not on 17.04/10 Most likely
this was a regression when they moved to bash 4.4.
I will file a new bug and try to submit a patch.
