I didn't change option in logind.conf, only in GUI setings. To be honest I
don't remember exactly what I dit try or not three years ago.
I've now a new computer and a new version of Mint (Mint 21.1 on Lenovo Thinkpad
P15s), the issue remains the same: after using and unplug a beamer, the setting
I've updated to latest version. It didn't changed.

Suspends when lid closed despite "do nothing"
Public bug reported:
I use "do nothing" (... I guess, "ne rien faire" in french) option on
both battery and supply in power manager. It works until I plug an
external monitor (DisplayPort), disconnect, then it suspends when
closing lid.
Changing options changes nothing in /etc/systemd/logind.conf
