I installed Xorg-hwe, kernel hwe and even installed the newer
nvidia-384, nvidia-dkms-390, I still sometimes see large triangle
tearing for split second on screen change. Especially on Impress full
screen presentation, changing Firefox pages etc.

How is this broken after at least two years? Or is it meant to scare
beginner users that may have chosen the wrong setting, choosing "format"
drive, this is considered to be really a command-line-only task?

Almost every application is missing all or some characters rendering to
screen. I see it in most consoles, dialogs, and the upper right hand
calendar. Sometimes closing and reopening fixes it.
This may be happening after close and reopen as I don't remember seeing
this happen

The black screen never goes away. This is random not after install,
update or upgrade. Also after PC reboot it works fine, it is not
persistent problem, once PC is loaded it works.

It's actually happening when you copy to non-root-directory, unless
Samsung Android/Phone/Music/ is considered root folder.
Keeps freezing or just does nothing - maybe it's caused by dashes or _
in the folder or file name? Going too slow or just crashing, when

Shortly after plugging in iPad, screen froze (not mouse cursor though).

Yikes, I just noticed after clicking in the upper right dropdowns, then
clicking in the password and entering password, it worked, and what I'd
previously typed was in the terminal (which had had focus)!
So this is a security bug.
