While testing an application I'm working on, I noticed it fails with
Ubuntu's version of GStreamer but not with Debian's.
My application tries to use decodebin to decode some JPEGs. It needs
this bug in jpegparse fixing:

To get more logs you can run:
mplayer -v
ffplay -loglevel verbose
vlc --verbose=2
To play files with ffmpeg you want to run "ffplay" not "ffmpeg".
Also I notice:
ffmpeg version 3.2.6-1~backport1.1~xenial
This is another different version of ffmpeg you tried to install?

This was fixed in Debian in version 1.12.1-2. Precise has
1.12.1-3.2ubuntu1 so this bug is fixed in all supported Ubuntu versions
now. Sorry it never got fixed in lucid!

Please can you move the "insert-text" icon from gnome-icon-theme-full to
gnome-icon-theme, and from adwaita-icon-theme-full to adwaita-icon-
theme.
Currently easytag has an ubuntu specific patch to use gnome-icon-theme-
full instead of gnome-icon-theme so it can use this icon
Was fixed in 1.18.0-1ubuntu1 (utopic).

Title:
Is the bug fixed if you temporarily remove ibus? It's much more likely
that this is just a bug in ibus than a bug affecting this many different
packages.
