I have a DELL XPS-8940 and both a usb mic or 3.5mm jack mic do not work.
They are detected by the operating system and listed in Input section of sound
settings, but they do not work, no sound is detected when talking or recording.

We had the same problem in snapweb, Karl worked on a solution for that case
that we can reuse.
Karl can you attach the asset to this bug please, and also add it on the
snapweb github repo?

Contacts cannot be imported from SIM card after OTA-8. Verified with
several Aquaris E4.5 and E5 Ubuntu Ed units, the option appears in light
grey and cannot be selected.

I swithed on my bq this evening and tried the hot spot feature, and it worked.
My WiFi network was visible in network indicator, so configured the hot spot
and connected from another device and it worked.
