Not sure if I'm commenting on the right bug, since I'm using Unity not XFCE, but I get this problem on two computers with Intel cards (both Intel Corporation Centrino Ultimate-N 6300). It happens maybe 1/10 times after resuming from suspend. This is on Ubuntu 16.04; there were no problems back with
