Come to think of it, we still need to fiddle with the hooks in noble due
to changing HWE kernels. So we should probably move the hooks to linux-
base in O and N as well but leave the old series alone since they won't
change anymore. @bdrung What do you think?

I will roll back to older lts 22.04 as cannot use in current state.
The sound works in 22.04.
I have searched forum but am unable to find anything similar.
it only loads the HDMI and not the intel HDA, seems that some of the same
kernel modules are used and hence cannot blacklist.

I tried many other things to reproduce this bug:
- looks like the reporter had this happen in a Digital Ocean VM. I tried that
too, going through the openssh upgrades all the way to 13.7, changing the port
to 2240, and it just worked
- tried ipv4 and ipv6
- then noted I was doing this all via ss
I didn't know this was a forum. I didn't expect a reply. Anyway I did
figure that was why. Although I had another computer from the same era
with a NVIDIA card, and it still gets driver updates in Windows using
GeForce Experience. This one dual booting Linux and Windows however does
not even get NV

I am using Kubuntu 24.10. I had some problems installing the nvidia 550
driver. Additional drivers din't tell me I could install it so I looked
in Synaptic and found the package. Since then I have haf no sound when
using the hdmi output from py gra[hics card. Aside
