As noted in the bug description, it is important to know that from Jammy
onward, the only way to exercise the bugfix is to use iptables-legacy
and not iptables which uses a newer library.
It also mitigates the impact on newer releases unless the -legacy
version is being used.

Hello, I came here searching for a fix to what seems like the same
issue: using x11vnc between two Kubuntu machines and getting:

I've got a proposed fix to mangle PACKAGE_VERSION to use the full
packaging version instead of just upstream x.x.x. It's available now on
ppa:tjaalton/test
To verify if that works, you'd need to run chrome/chromium with the
current version in -updates first (...22.04.1), then update to the ppa
ver
