Can somebody confirm what Kernel this is actually submitted to as a
working solution without patches etc? I have been following for a long
time and I was under the impression that the official 5.17 release had
it incorporated?

I have a 5:4 screen and when I launch Ubuntu (i'm using Xubuntu with
ubuntu-desktop installed) the display is not properly aligned with the
screen and I tried to invert the screen and my session closed everytime
I try. Oh i forgot to tell i'm on Ubuntu 22.
Thanks, it was indeed a separate issue. Needed to remove bluez-alsa-utils...
All is good now, would be great if one could change the codec through
gnome-control-center. Pavucontrol method works.

LXC 5.0 LTS will very soon be released.
The upstream release has been held up due to an incomplete port to meson (and
deprecation of autotools), it's otherwise been ready to go for a few months.
As far as LXC releases go, it's a very light one. Comparing it to
current 4.0.12

partition as per installed default may be a bit small-ish. Tried running
update-upgrade command again, same result. ran "sudo apt autoremove
--purge" to remove old kernels; update-upgrade worked fine after that.

Whether your headset cannot be switched from HFP to A2DP is a separate
issue anyway. You can try pairing and trusting the device again, also
please check if you have pipewire audio enabled which could seldom take
over bluetooth a2dp, and see if bluetoothd log has anything related.
