I have performed the installation several times. It only happens with
either a BT 4 or a BT 5 dongle. Bluetooth 4 is CRS. Bluetooth 5 is
mediatek.

Sound suddenly works again without doing anything.
I disabled unattended-upgrade since last time, so maybe it was not

A friend could identify the issue and repeat that on Kubuntu 20.04. The
reason seems to be the filesystem on sd-card. With FAT32 there is no
problem, but bigger cards - beginning with 64GB - use exFAT. After
sudo apt-get install exfat-utils
the issue is gone :)
