This symptom is observed with Ubuntu Mate 20.04.
1. Create /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/10-xdmcp.conf as
[XDMCPServer]
enabled=true
and restart lightdm.
2. Login as a normal user from keyboard.
3. Login as the same user as 2 from XDMCP gives
"Could not acquire name on sess
The same issue on ASUS GL703GE, headphones doesn't work. It was working
some how on Ubuntu 18.04. Now I have installed Ubuntu 20 and this
headache back again. Anybody, please help.

It's a bit unfortunate that we don't have a test case for this assertion
failure. That being said, the fix for it seems rather safe and sane.
Still, I would like us to try and contact with the original reporter and
ask him to test it, if possible.
