Do not edit /etc/cups/printers.conf while cupsd is running, as cupsd is
modifying it. So first stop cupsd:
sudo systemctl stop cupsd
then edit the file and after that start cupsd again:
sudo systemctl start cupsd
Note that you only can edit the properties of permanent print queues.

This workaround don't work for my.
The /etc/cups/printers.conf file is erased and automoatically rewiriter
when the computer is initiated anf I find in this file the line
"AuthInfoRequired none" instead of "AuthInfoRequired username,password"
after I edited the file.

to a different one, obviously the computer didn't fail anymore. He never got
stuck again. Also install ubuntu 18.04 offered in dell downloads, but I will

The screen is distorted/scrambled every now and then. That is, it's like
a few lines of pixels are repeated (so it's a normally a blur). The
screen also flickers at times. This happens a few times a few. I've
noticed that if I close the lid and let the screen dim/blank/suspend
libcap2 breaks it, libcap2 has a fix.
I'd prefer that we get libcap2 2.32 to fix it.

This is a post 2.13 fix upstream.
As mentioned by Christian it is in the backport branches, the respective merge
for 2.13 is:
