I use network-manager to connect to openVPN servers.
First, when adding a new VPN config, entering a login is required, and
we are unable to save if we do not enter a username. This is a security

Turns out the problem for me is updating *while* copying a hard-drive
(in another terminal).
The "update-initramfs" script calls "sync" in the "generate_initramfs"
function. For me, copying hard-drives at the same time caused "sync" to
