In 16.04 LTS I don-t have problems to boot in graphical mode, but in
16.04.2 LTS I can-t any way log directly. Goes allways to terminal tty1.
Not even press ctrl+alt+f7. That are de same pc in dual boot, but in the

Good that we have a workaround - "net.ifnames=0 biosdevname=0". Still, I
think we need to reevaluate the importance level of "medium" - this is

The path was wrong in #6 (I forgot the /.config/

/home//.config/monitors.xml
to
/var/lib/lightdm/.config/monitors.xml
fixes this issue for me (see image attached).

if you use $1 or $@ to get the arguments for the script:
If the file name is 'filename %123.xxx' you will get 'filename 23.xxx'
I forgot about this bug, but I later realised that the problem was due to my
installation of the OS from a daily cd version of the ISO file from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/xenial/daily-live/pending/xenial-desktop-amd64.iso.zsync
rather than the normal download site. I did not realise that
