XMir 1.0 (the old Xorg extension) is now deprecated and is not being
maintained or fixed. It is replaced by the new 'Xmir' binary (package
'xmir') introduced in Ubuntu 15.10 wily.
Is there any way to reproduce this bug without the old Xmir?

Andrea, there are two problems here:
1) the swiping grabs the moves when initiated over a leading/trailing item,
which happens to jump the ListItem's content when touched on these actions
2) the size of the action is visually bad, this we have to increase a bit.

I found a possible culprit. Patch debian/patches/1000_configure_userns

of `process_flags` to read the defaults if they weren't overridden on
the command line. For instance, `process_flags` contains

First report of this problem to errors.ubuntu.com is on August 9, which
strangely does not align with any uploads (or publications) of apt.
1.0.9.10ubuntu1 was published to wily release in May; 1.0.9.10ubuntu6

release on August 16.
This appears to be a bug deep in apt, showing up only with the update-
