I can relate to #38, having exactly the same setup with the same hassle. Why
not simply add the functionality to set the Unity top bar in the screen
settings. There is an option for the Launcher Position (either Screen A or B or
both) why not the same for Unity?

New system, clean install. Linux Mint 17.2, 3.19-0-21 kernel. Same
problem, over 1G in less than 2 days. My older system will lock up
thrashing its swap space if I don't re-boot it every 3 days or so
(memory used 100% and swap 95-100% used).

I think many of the duplicates assigned to this bug are actually a separate bug.
One bug is about "packages installed by the updater are not released when new
versions installed with the image".
The other is "storage view should aggregate different versions of packages with
the same name".

So this rules out at least qtmir and unity8.

I noticed a battery drain on my mako OTA6 recently. Looking at the
Terminal app, initctl was taking 100% CPU. It wasn't slowing down my
general experience like bug 1480877 does, because dbus wasn't affected.
It was just draining the battery.

wily cloud images too fat

something recently made cloud images get super fat.
I first noticed this on 2015-09-04.
Odd_bloke took an initial look and found :

libfile-fcntllock-perl which recommends a compiler.

15.10 (daily 10.09.2015) is completely hashed. It is unusable on Lenovo m58p
(intel q43/45).
Since it is getting worse I don't think that this bug will be fixed soon. Maybe
the solution is to switch to different flavor/distro.
The issue may be fixed when Ubuntu switch to Mir and Unity 8. Until th

This affects me as well. Super annoying. I really enjoy Unity, but this
needs to be fixed asap. Running Ubuntu 14.04. GTX 970 with latest
proprietary drivers from official PPA. 144 hz monitor.

Choosing not to report crashes and errors setting re

To avoid UI freezes and perceptions of slowness, we would like to turn
this option off by default for consumers, but leave it on for developers
and in the proposed channels.
Once bug #1437633 is fixed, we can put "manual" in the whoopsie.override
file
Not sure how to do this
this problem only seems to happen when an non-supported photo (like an
svg) is downloaded. In this case, it is never displayed in gallery. With
the fix from bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gallery-
app/+bug/1452572, I cannot reproduce this issue
