I'm seeing this exact bug in Trusty. Logging out of a TTY doesn't lower the
number of users in uptime, w, etc.
Now, Vivid switched to systemd, so if the bug is really in upstart, it may not
be worth wasting time here.
But, Trusty is an LTS... so, I don't know.

Qt5 applications can't display kana characters (see screenshot). That
problem occurs not always, sometimes everything works fine, but if I try
to launch app several times in a row it can be reproduced. I've attached
example script on pyqt.
There're similar problem with qt5.2

I would suggest that Ubuntu might consider a similar approach to how

After upgrading from Utopic to Vivid, I started getting some strange
systemd errors and a boot time that was excessively long. After a good
long while of investigation I discovered that it was due to my system
having a seperate /usr partition.
The two solutions seem to be to

Hi there!
I'm not sure if this is the same bug I've been having for years, but
here goes.
Currently running Ubuntu 14.04 with Nvidia drivers 343.36.
After I come back from suspend, anything that seems to rely on GPU
acceleration is garbled.
In blender all the textures are replaced with colourfu
HW Params of device "hw:0,0":

Seems to be like this issue:
