I had several programs open and I simply opened a new tab in Google
Chrome.
First the mouse and keyboard stopped responding
Then the Chrome window became grey
Then I couldn't do anything: the system wouldn't respond to either mouse or

Periodically I install updates on my computer and reboot without logging
in. When I come back to my computer and log in, polkitd is using a large
chunk of memory. At the moment it's using > 2.3 GiB of memory on a
machine with 8 GB RAM:

I'd like to add that my comment (#2) is not correct. The bug went away
for a while when I set the launcher to only show up on one display, but
the bug later began happening regardless of the option. It's
intermittent. Sometimes a program will go full screen correctly; other
times the Unity panels w

AFAIK SDL2 should support 24/32 bit colors... I do find that strange
since on X11:

I think this explains the behavior I often see when enabling WiFi and it
auto-connects to a known AP. NM shows the connection as active ( ie.
nmcli d ), the routing table it correct, pinging an IP address works,
however for the first 30-90s after the connection comes up, DNS lookups
fail.
I assume this is due to bug 1470060. Could you please show
/proc/self/cgroup to confirm?
