Mir doesn't bother to interpret the OpenGL version string. It goes
looking for the features it needs, properly. And the Mir demos almost
all work properly on i945 (except for bug 1275684)
Although if QtMir was trying to interpret the version string, I'm not
yet sure how that could cause this bug.

Here is the lightdm log file pulled from /var/log/lightdm/lightdm.log.
At 98.76s, I logged out of my session, but didn't get a log-in screen
again (black screen on both monitors).
At this point I killed the process (28882) so that I could downgrade
lightdm again (from ctrl+alt+F1) and log back in.

By default the pin 0x1a if I remerber well, was not connected at all. I
found out that the 0x12 (internal mic) was (override) connected by
default but if I disconnect it, it seems to solution the problem of the
mono sounding front speakers and makes now the front speakers output to

recursively bound into the schroot tree. When the schroot tree is
recursively unmounted and SCHROOT_DIR/home/foo is unmounted, that

in unity7.

Trying to change my syslog config today this bit me . I couldn't figure
out why my changes weren't working, and since I don't write syslog
filters often I figured I was screwing something up. Turns out they were
fine. "/etc/init.d/rsyslog restart" was just silently doing nothing.
This is terrabad.
That seems to make everything work OK on bootup. Thanks!
I have no idea how those symlinks got there. I definitely didn't put
them there manually.

now I understand why the boot went completely wrong, I just don't know
at all how these symlinks came into rc[2-5].d/ in the first place. For
