It almost goes without saying, but it’s always nice when the instructions for
setting up the development environment for a project work! We often find that
those instructions are out of date.

Hi Gianluca,
I'm not aware of any faculty who have worked with Amara. To clarify, the list
on foss2serve.org is a place to keep track of any HFOSS project we have found.
There are quite a few on there that we have not had time to evaluate.
Cheers,

Hi Meg,
Let me mention two efforts that seem related to what you are interested in:
a) Mozilla has an initiative called “Mozilla Clubs” that is directly related.
You should contact Lucy Harris and Christos Bacharakis (copied on this email)

Hello,
You might want to know that Heidi Ellis, a member of the TOS community, was
nominated for Red Hat's 2016 Women in Open Source Award and she has been

both faculty and students in becoming involved in humanitaria
Hi,
We will be running more NSF-supported POSSE’s in collaboration with Red Hat.
The next one is likely to be next May or June, and there will be at least

Hi Karsten,
Last week we ran a POSSE at Red Hat and the issues with TOS came up several
times. In addition to the spam pages (and tons of spam accounts), the “count
the cats” captcha required for creating an account is broken.
Tom Callaway, Gina Likins, Heidi Ellis and I discussed TOS status a
Hi Michael,
The next POSSE in the US will be held at Red Hat in November. The materials
(still being updated a bit!) are posted at foss2serve.org. They are, of
course, available for use and might be useful for POSSE GH. Also, please let
TOS know what you're doing for a schedule, and about an
A panel we submitted, on computing for social good, that included HFOSS was not

Hi Karsten,
For the past several years we've been running POSSEs from foss2serve.org and
using a doc based application. To be honest, I'd forgotten that this app
existed. So, from that perspective, taking it down should be safe.
The only other person I can think of to check with would be Stev
Hi Joseph,
I'm happy to see your post to the list, and certainly interested in where this
effort might lead. I'm also interested in the number of replies you've gotten
already today, which I take as a good sign!
Several people have mentioned POSSE, and it occurs to me that some people may
