Hi,
sure, I wrote a script for this. I always compile Tor to use it as a
relay on a Raspberry Pi.
I have attached the script.

after a reboot the user of the
logfile changed to "debian-tor". After every reboot I have to change it
back to "pi".
Does anyone has an idea what's going on?

Hello Patrice
would be great if you can share your script , thanks.
Hi,
sure, with pleasure. But I have to say I am not a professional
programmer. There are surely better ways to do this, but it works for me.
Before you can use it you have to make it executable with this command:
chmod
. adds tor to crontab
6. starts tor
I think you must change some things to your need if you want to use it.
If you want the script I can share it here, if it is allowed. If not I
can send it to you via mail.
regards
Patrice

Hi,
I want to tell that the issue is no longer exists. I can now visit ebay,

It was like grarpamp said, there was a bunch of malicious software on
one of my Computers. Very shameful, there was no virus detection installed.

That‘s a good point!
And that’s something that I can investigate. I can do something. :-)
I will look up all my divices and I hope I will find some pests.

How do I use a different IP address?
I only got one.
Should I pipe the traffic through a proxy (somewhere else)?
Yeah, I though about to use the Tor browser but for my girlfriend I
think not.
Kind regards

Sadly I run a only a relay therefore this is a troublesome action.
So if more admins do this, I could be in trouble.
After reading all the answers, there seem to be only two solutions:
1. hoping that my IP get unbanned
2. shutdown the relay
(3. surf over a proxy or VPN)

Hi everyone,
I`ve got an issue with my local IP address. I am running a relay about 1

All I get is this message:

Thank you! That was already the answer. :)
You will not see anything in logs until this value isn't good and was
adjusted by tor. For details, see compute_real_max_mem_in_queues()
function in /src/or/config.c.

As root you can do:
su debian-tor "tor --verify-config"
I am not running tor as root. Tor runs as "debian-tor".
I installed it from the repositories and changed nothing in the permissions.
