Just found the problem.
Well I found that the Alias in mod_jk.conf seems to be the problem with separating
the web server from the servlet engine. Removing the alias makes it work.

When you configure apache for mod_jk, the Apache default_handler checks to see
if the full
UNIX path for the URI exists. If it does not exist the the server returns a
permission error (FORBIDDEN)
and never calls the jaka

To build struts I first downloaded Ant 1.1 and 1.2 distribution,
servletapi source,
tomcat source and the tools distribution. I also used Xalan 1.x and
2.0 and Sun Jaxp 1.0.1
where necessary.

Is the Mod_jk connector suppose to work with Struts under Tomcat 3.2?
I got Struts to work (end-2-end) with Tomcat 3.2's mod_jserv, but not mod_jk.
I cannot get Struts to work with mod_jk when using the connector through Apache
1.3.12. All I get is the raw JSP text on the browser screen. I used
the code and
saw the
thread connection pool, but the ps output got me:-)
