Is there any command line option that allows me to add a new subscriber without
going through qmailadmin interface?
Noted that ezmlm uses some hash mechanism to distribute subscribers email
addresses into some files below subscribers folder.
I wish to add about 500+ email addresses...

Make sure you su to user vpopmail before running it, otherwise you'll
end up with some files owned by root.
If you've done it as root, you can fix it with
chown -R vpopmail:vchkpw ~vpopmail/domains
