Can you please try with tmux git? I suspect you're running into this:
commit e6af0ad23e1a43add71dd09a03c05057aab26748

when larger than 15.
The tmux version is 1.8.
And I found that the problem tmux cmd is “choose-tree”, when I switch to
"choose-session" cmd, it works.

ok. I describe the situation specifically now:
First, I start tmux. And, then I issue the command ":new -s tt0" to create one
session and repeat that for 40 times.
Now, I have the follow sessions: tt0, tt1, tt2, , tt40. When I switch to
session "tt0" and issue the command "choose-tree", i

How many is "large"? 10? 100? 1000?
Are you running "tmux ls" from the shell? Or from inside tmux?
What is the tmux version?

Hi,
I'm a loyal user of tmux. Recently, I was bothered by a problem that the black
screen displays when listing many tmux sessions.
Strangely, the session list displays normally when I am in the session whose
number is small, but not when the session number is large.
Yours sincerely

Hi,
I'm a loyal user of tmux. Recently, I was bothered by a problem that the black
screen displays when listing many tmux sessions.
Strangely, the session list displays normally when the session number is small,
but not when the session number is large.
Yours sincerely
Lvton. Smith.
