Use the xsel program to copy to the X clipboard.
How do you mean you can't use the mouse wheel? In what program?

to tmux's register, but also to system clipboard, so I can paste it in
other application.
BTW, there is another question, in gnome terminal, I can't use mouse
wheel to scroll text either. Is there any methods to handle this?
