I wish to change the font size of the terminal that tmux is running in
on the fly. I can do this directly at a raw urxvt-unicode terminal
(without tmux) with a shell script like:

I would like to start tmux without the status. I am using 1.2.
set status off
does not work from .tmux.conf
but it does work from within tmux.
Please advise. I am new to tmux.
