Unfortunately, the link in that thread I posted to the fix is dead, so
I'll have to go google around to find it and then see if the patch is
still applicable.
I really do want this feature implemented.

Don't be so melodramatic. It's a minor issue that so far has affected two
people. Neither of whom cared enough to either test the fix or remind about it
for two years. Hardly something we should be too ashamed of forgetting, eh?
