The TLF man page states:
":SOUnd The SOUND recorder is a utility to record the voice keyer mes‐
sages and ..."
So when I execute the :SOU command I get the screen to control this and
the manual explains...
" F1 ... F12, s, c will record the voice keyer message for that key.

Okay, I solved my own problem. For some reason my system does not like
the "/dev/dsp" which is used in the default call to SoX from tlf
(apparently).
I added "SC_DEVICE= " the logcfg.dat deliberately leaving no entry after
the '=' sign. That fixed it.

result is an error message.
"play stio: Failed reading `/dev/dsp': Could not determine file type"
I ran the audio file manually (the same one I am trying to play through
tlf) using play /home/user/audiofilename.ogg
Ok, I found the bug and repaired it... New version tlf-0.9.26 is up.

F12 autocq when I press any key to enter a call. The F4s key working
well with a 73s message.
